About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Project Manager, where you'll spearhead the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex manufacturing projects. Your role is pivotal in ensuring projects meet stringent specifications, adhere to safety standards, and exceed customer expectations. You'll act as the central point of communication, fostering collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders, driving projects to successful outcomes. Your work directly impacts our ability to deliver high-quality electrical equipment, contributing significantly to our company's growth and reputation. Requirements

  • Electrical code knowledge: Competent in electrical schematic and electrical code knowledge for collaboration with the in-house engineering department, manufacturing technicians, and authority having jurisdictions for permit processing. Modularized electrical skid integration is preferred.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing scheduling and related factors that can impact project timelines.
  • Cost management: Ability to forecast and create a cost budget, and then manage said budget through completion of the project(s).
  • Schedule creation and tracking: Ability to create, manipulate and comprehend complex and evolving project schedules. Most of this work will be collaboration based but experience with scheduling is required via the use of MS project, Monday.com , p6 or excel based production schedules.
  • Project Management Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing projects within the electrical equipment, construction and manufacturing industry.
  • Independent Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and effectively, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills to drive projects forward.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and influence peers, ensuring collaborative project execution.
  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
  • Customer and Change Management: Experience with customer management and communication, maintaining positive client relationships. Ability to lock scope, identify scope creep and manage change.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office for effective project documentation and communication. Experience with manufacturing ERP and MRP systems like SAP, visual, experience with Acumatica is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
  • Data center construction experience or other mission critical construction experience
  • Experience with advanced project management methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical distribution equipment and electrical integration manufacturing: Understand and align scope & process with internal and external stakeholders for electrical equipment manufacturing.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Set realistic project goals, develop comprehensive strategies, and manage project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with estimating, engineering, procurement, production, and accounting teams to align project activities and resolve issues.
  • Customer Communication and Management: Develop and implement effective communication strategies, provide regular updates to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Champion project change control, including customer change orders and requests for information .
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide coaching and guidance to team members, ensuring clear understanding of tasks and efficient execution.
  • Resource Management: Identify and allocate necessary internal and external resources to ensure project success.
  • Financial Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, monitor invoicing milestones, and report to the accounting team.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement tools and techniques for task distribution, performance evaluation, and overall project efficiency.
  • Quality and Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with design specifications, operational standards, and safety regulations (ISO 9001:2015).
