Were looking for a Project Manager to join our Civil/Site Development Group in Austin, Texas. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented civil engineer with 5+ years of experience. Youll lead and support a team delivering site design and construction documents for a wide range of commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential developmentsincluding mixed-use, office, retail, multi- and single-family residential, warehouse/distribution, medical, and recreational facilities.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
  • 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal design regulations and industry practices.
  • Strong understanding of land development planning and entitlement processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-starter with leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Interest in business development and maintaining project workload.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HEC-HMS and StormCAD or similar modeling tools preferred.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, budget, assign, supervise, and motivate project team members.
  • Manage site engineering plans including layouts, grading, storm drainage, water, utility, street and sanitary sewer design, and erosion control.
  • Provide oversight and quality control for calculations, design drawings, and specifications.
  • Review and analyze field data collection.
  • Prepare written studies and technical reports.
  • Attend client meetings and provide project updates.
  • Represent client interests in meetings and conferences with stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction observation activities.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff.
  • Lead coordination with utility providers, contractors, and permitting authorities.
  • Assist with project pursuits and proposal preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
