The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Sr. Project Leader you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading key Divisional NPI programs with cross-functional teams to deliver new products to our customers Collaborating with business management, stakeholders, and project team members to refine project scope, and overseeing development of complete project plans. Creating a culture of collaboration, teamwork and success with the team, our customers and stakeholders. Mentoring existing and potential future team leaders within the business unit and division. Conduct training in project leadership skills as needed. Working with cross functional team to identify ways and implement actions to improve our NPI processes to help accelerate NPI launches and commercialization to meet aggressive NPI goals. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Technical field (Engineering or Sciences) (completed and verified prior to start) Eight (8) years of experience in a product development, engineering or commercialization role (lab, manufacturing or marketing) with specific experience(s) in project leadership in a private, public, government or military environment. Three (3) years of Project management skills and expertise that may include PMP, Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU, and DOE/statistical analysis Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Proven record of driving technology/products to commercialization Business acumen; demonstrated ability to work with business and cross-functional teams Strong communication skills at all levels with Stakeholder, Champions and team members. Understanding of 3M materials, key 3M technologies and processes. Understanding of 3M NPI systems and Corporate tools Ability to motivate, develop, and coach team personnel Work location: Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Technical field (Engineering or Sciences) (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Eight (8) years of experience in a product development, engineering or commercialization role (lab, manufacturing or marketing) with specific experience(s) in project leadership in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Three (3) years of Project management skills and expertise that may include PMP, Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU, and DOE/statistical analysis
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
