WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a Project Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a crucial role in planning and managing various customer-facing IT projects for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program As a Project Manager for the CITS Program, the successful candidate will be client-facing and required to deliver projects on time and within budget. Projects will vary in scope and size depending on the nature of the requirement. The Project Manager will work closely with the government customer to develop project estimates (schedules, cost estimates, materials, services, etc.) to meet all requirements. The Project Manager may be required to manage a range of projects at the same time. All projects will include coordination with various engineering teams, vendors, customers and other non GDIT contract personnel. Other responsibilities include the need to: Facilitate, manage, and execute project activities from large or complex tasks that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance and migration, and other analysis of projects. Design and develop project baseline schedules, support implementing and maintaining integrated master schedule (IMS) and work breakdown structures (WBS). Identify risks affecting project cost, schedule, performance, and support development of alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules. Produce schedules visually depicting decision points, milestones, progression, and interdependence of the project tasks to provide the program with a clear picture of the project schedule, communicate project updates and support effective decision making. Work closely and effectively communicate with staff members and the customers to ensure efficient and accurate schedule developments and updates. Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and the management team. Assist in developing resource loading and level process for project schedules using the performance work statement (PWS), technical proposal, WBS and oral directions from senior project managers and technical leads. Monitor performance against SLAs and work with the QA Lead to ensure effective delivery, mitigation of risks, and appropriate corrective actions are taken, where necessary.
