About The Position

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) Product Development Office (PDO) under the Department of Chief Information Officer (DCIO) in Washington, DC. GDIT provides full software development lifecycle support for a variety of highly complex business critical systems, including COTS and customized solutions. Our support includes program and project management, business requirements analysis, solutions architecture, and software engineering within the AO to deliver systems for the Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) Portfolio, the Probation and Pretrial Services (PPS) Portfolio, and the National Applications Portfolio. The systems support service officers, judges, and other stakeholders with the automated functionality needed to perform the administration of justice and court services to the United States Courts across the nation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least five years (5+) of experience in Agile development environment.
  • Ability to be on call during evening and weekends
  • Experience in supporting Java based applications in production.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work rapidly in a high tempo environment that often requires multitasking.
  • Ability to create, sustain, and enhance fostering team dynamics and collaboration.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI-ACP).
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Energetic, goal oriented, proactive, innovative, hardworking, and patient.

Nice To Haves

  • Working experience in federal or state courts is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the production support team (Tier 2 and Tier 3)
  • Work with the customer project manager to develop production support schedule for weekend and evening support
  • Collaborate with US Court’s National Support Desk (NSD) for channeling and prioritizing critical issues for the T2/T3 team
  • Organize and facilitate SCRUM ceremonies: daily standups, Sprint Planning/Grooming, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives
  • Analyze internal business processes and methodologies to recommend process engineering/re-engineering for efficient operation, growth and transformation
  • Maintain JIRA and other information radiators for the teams
  • Enable team to become self-organizing and self-managing to achieve its goals
  • Motivate teams to perform and ensure team members are collectively responsible for all aspects of production support work (root cause analysis, development, testing, documentation, etc.)
  • Identify, address, and communicate project risks, dependencies, and team impediments
  • Ensure the team’s “definition of done” is well defined on the story, sprint, and release levels
  • Facilitate productivity through discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Shield the team from external interferences
  • Assist with internal and external communication, and improving transparency
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Coach a continuous improvement mindset and recommend adjustments to established delivery practices
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including customers
