About The Position

14525 – Project Manager (onsite, remote option) – Tallahassee, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration : 12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: On-site availability at the Department’s location 4040 Esplanade Way, Tallahassee, Florida is preferred, but remote work will be considered. Travel costs will not be reimbursed Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required)
• Experience in project management activities (10+ years)
• Experience in IT, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation (4+ years)
• Experience in technical writing and documentation
• Experience in document version control and collaborative document management
• Experience with procurement procedures and contract law
• Experience with Florida State Agency IT Projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), or equivalent certification for business analysis as deemed appropriate by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project management plans, in accordance with the standards of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
• Contribute to a project schedule and update the project schedule and performance summary/charts weekly.
• Contribute to the RAID (Risk, Action Item, Issues, and Decisions) Log for tracking risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, lessons learned and change requests.
• Ensure that required project artifacts are created and maintained.
• Manage revision of the project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the Department’s expectations for quality.
• Identify the measured value the assigned project is to achieve and report this measurement to the Department’s Contract Manager.
