About The Position

Nason Mechanical Systems, a Fidelity Company, is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. This individual will work closely with clients through all phases of a project from defining client needs, designing integrated mechanical and plumbing systems, cost budgeting, and managing all aspects of construction, phasing, material sourcing, equipment submittals, and schedule management. The Project Manager will work closely with our Construction Superintendent and Lead Field Personnel as technical support and collaborative team member. Our project management team employs peer review to ensure close collaboration and proper client system solutions. Nason Mechanical Systems serves clients in medical, educational, industrial, food service, and commercial markets, with a focus on service and maintenance, as well as specializing in design-build solutions, energy efficiency, and high-pressure steam plant management. Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (or similar discipline) from an accredited university.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems, including applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA).
  • Ability to estimate, prepare take-offs, and manage administrative and financial outliers related to projects.
  • Proven ability to manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Professional, clear, and positive communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong time-management skills.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-driven

  • Beneficial Software Application Knowledge: BuildOps, Bluebeam Revu (PDF), Autodesk / AutoCAD, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledge and consultation to new and existing clients regarding the needs and concerns specific to their mechanical systems.
  • Calculate energy use for comfort and/or process applications; recommend HVAC efficiency and upgrade options, including computation of payback periods.
  • Analyze mechanical components for life-cycle cost, return on investment, and long-term operational benefits.
  • Develop technical recommendations for mechanical equipment and system solutions aligned with client goals and project budgets.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and perform financial analysis for alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrate competency in managing large project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, and alignment with project scope throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as technical and financial support for field service technicians and project teams.
  • Identify and develop potential opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
