About The Position

The Project Manager at Empire Homes is fully responsible for the construction of homes within the community, managing community appearance, acting as a liaison between the sales agent and customers regarding home construction, and overseeing budget and schedule. This role is based out of the Empire Homes Chattanooga Office. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in building construction or similar field; or Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques
  • Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal building codes
  • Proficiency in the use of construction tools, equipment, and maintenance techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, work orders, and technical documents
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions and present information effectively in individual and small group settings
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Being fully responsible for the construction of the homes within the community
  • Managing community appearance
  • Acting as a liaison between the community sales agent and each customer as it relates to the construction of each home
  • Managing budget and schedule
  • Manage all phases of residential construction from pre-planning through final completion, including closeout items
  • Oversee trade partners to ensure quality, adherence to scope, and timely completion of work
  • Maintain job site readiness to ensure efficient workflow and minimize delays
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the construction process
  • Conduct buyer orientations and provide regular updates
  • Ensure all customization and upgrade requests are accurately executed
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance for assigned homes
  • Monitor costs, maintain profit margins, and address budget variances
  • Coordinate scheduling of trade partners and material deliveries to optimize timelines and reduce costs
  • Ensure timely delivery and protect materials from damage or theft
  • Partner with Sales to review project progress and confirm customer selections and changes
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with internal teams as needed
