About The Position

This is a project-based position to assist with the legislative branch's transition to the state's new accounting system. We want a project manager who has experience with the state's current financial system and/or with the OneWA program. This role will work alongside our business partners and technology teams to ensure transition readiness. The Legislative Service Center, also known as LEG-TECH, is the dedicated technology solutions provider for the Washington State Legislature. Requirements

  • Three+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field, we will consider equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of contemporary project management approaches.

Nice To Haves

  • Public sector business work experience.
  • Knowledge of OneWA projects and experience with state government business processes.
  • Knowledge of business process analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately tracking project status and project information, to include deliverables, issues, and risks for key stakeholders.
  • Project reporting for internally impacted groups and to OneWA.
  • Providing timely consultation to customers and agency staff regarding impacts of OneWA.
  • Partnering with business teams to clearly outline needs while working across multiple workgroups to identify priorities and ultimately implement solutions that meet requirements.
  • Identifying and documenting functionality gaps in business processes; and developing and tracking associated mitigation plans.
  • Completing current, transitional, and future state business process mapping.
  • Developing and delivering individualized readiness support to legislative agencies.
  • Developing effective feedback mechanisms for impacted groups to support agency-specific and legislative-wide needs.
  • Completing training guides and user guides.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships and communications.
  • Incorporating organizational change management (OCM) for OneWA projects and ensuring effective OCM communication mechanisms.
