The Merchandising Project Manager is responsible for leading the oversight, coordination, and execution of key strategic and cross-departmental initiatives across the Merchandising organization. This role balances hands-on project leadership with accountability for project planning, execution, and outcomes. The Project Manager ensures initiatives remain on track by managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment, while holding teams accountable to scope, quality, and delivery expectations. Leveraging strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, this individual translates high-level objectives into structured project plans and actionable workstreams. In addition to project delivery, the Merchandising PM is responsible for defining, standardizing, and maintaining department workflows, operating processes, and documentation. They proactively identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, develop mitigation strategies, and apply deep subject matter expertise in Merchandising operations to enable scalable execution and support the broader strategic goals of the department. Up to 10% travel may be required. What You'll Do: Leads end‑to‑end planning and execution of cross‑functional Merchandising initiatives, with a strong focus on food innovation projects, food category resets, and LTO rollouts, ensuring operational readiness and on‑time delivery. Owns project scope, plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and success metrics, partnering with Category Management, Merchandising Solutions, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing to drive execution. Manages complex store‑level transitions, including item exits, new item introductions, reset sequencing, and innovation pilots, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies to minimize disruption. Develops and maintains standardized project documentation and execution frameworks, including project plans, communication strategies, workflows, process maps, and training materials to support consistent reset and launch execution. Designs and implements controls to monitor project performance and value realization, ensuring initiatives remain aligned with Merchandising strategy and deliver measurable business impact. Builds strong cross‑departmental relationships and drives continuous improvement, applying Merchandising best practices to enhance execution quality, scalability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
