The Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, project management, and technical direction of new equipment projects, as well as for the evaluation, cost estimation, and repairs for aftermarket projects supporting Elessent’s proprietary alkylation and hydro-processing equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must demonstrate initiative in dealing with customers and achieving goals.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Entry Level to 5 years of relevant experience in pressure vessel design and/or rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2 codes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical management for new equipment projects, including project tracking, inspections, document control, and coordination of supplier activities throughout the project.
  • Review customer specifications and assist with preparing proposals for equipment refurbishment and technical descriptions for sales agreements.
  • Work with design teams on proprietary equipment, including high-pressure, high-temperature reactors, pumps, and auxiliary piping and peripheral components.
  • Coordinate supplier activities on equipment projects, including the design, scope, schedule, quality, and technical issues.
  • Provide technical management and on-site support for STRATCO® alkylation technology & other related technologies.
  • Provide customer support related to proprietary equipment, especially concerning maintenance, reliability, and mechanical integrity issues.
  • Manage and assist with the development of reactor design improvements and metallurgical upgrades, support product stewardship projects and QA program implementation.
  • Delivery of multiple assigned projects with effective margin management and cost control awareness.
  • Support the Management Team to establish and achieve annual goals and objectives.
