Project Manager Logistics and Transportation
About The Position
Palmetto Yacht Management is a growing marine logistics and yacht services company specializing in complex transportation projects. Many of our moves require weeks or months of planning, coordination, and execution across multiple stakeholders, locations, and regulatory considerations. We are expanding our team and seeking a Project Manager ā Logistics & Transportation who thrives in complex environments, thinks ahead, and takes ownership of projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for a highly organized, forward-thinking professional who can manage long-term transportation projects while keeping daily logistics moving efficiently. Our projects are not simple point-to-point moves. They require planning, sequencing, communication, and proactive problem-solving. The right candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, logistics, or transportation coordination
- Strong ability to plan ahead and manage long-term, complex projects
- High level of self-motivation and accountability
- Experience working in software systems such as: RoseRocket (or similar dispatch/logistics platforms) Salesforce Fleetio or fleet management systems Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Overdimensional Transportation Experience
- DOT and FMCSA regulatory experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in marine, heavy transport, logistics, or specialized transportation
- Familiarity with integrated software ecosystems (dispatch + CRM)
- Background in operations planning or process optimization
Responsibilities
- Manage complex transportation and logistics projects from planning through execution
- Develop and maintain project timelines for multi-week and multi-month jobs
- Anticipate upcoming project needs and proactively plan next steps
- Ensure all projects remain on schedule and within operational constraints
- Coordinate logistics and dispatching using RoseRocket, integrated with Salesforce
- Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor active projects and quickly resolve scheduling or logistics challenges
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation within software systems
- Support continuous improvement of logistics and project workflows
