The Project Manager is a highly engaged, hands-on leader who will drive the growth, quality, and long-term sustainability of the Citizen and Community Science Library Network and the SciStarter Ambassador Network. This role blends strategic leadership with day-to-day execution and is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment where collaboration, adaptability, and follow-through are essential. As a team manager and supervisor this role serves as a key cross-functional connector across partners, staff, ambassadors, and communities nationwide. The Project Manager, Senior supports the scaling of national initiatives that position libraries—and other trusted third spaces such as museums, cafés, and community spaces—as hubs for citizen and community science. The nature of this work intersects with other SciStarter operations and requires active involvement in organizational operations as well as digital, business, and strategic development discussions. This includes participating in planning and development meetings; contributing to brainstorming and problem-solving; supporting execution; and helping track progress, report outcomes, and iterate on programs and systems over time. This entrepreneurial role requires a positive, organized, relationship-driven professional who enjoys building systems, supporting teams, and growing programs with national impact while contributing to SciStarter’s broader organizational goals.
