About The Position

This role is seeking an experienced, skilled, and upbeat Scrum Master to join a squad responsible for support across multiple business verticals in the Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG). The individual will support one or more cross-functional squads, engaging with all team members and the Squad Leader to reinforce and embed agile approaches and principles into the day-to-day work. The goal is to evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture by demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors. The Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG) Technology team is a recently established group focused on providing transparent solutions and support for all of FIG’s business functions. The team partners with internal FIG stakeholders and multiple organizations across Fidelity, notably the Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA), to deliver modern and scalable solutions. This is described as an exciting space with significant potential for growth and innovation.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of life insurance digital ecosystems, including underwriting, compliance, and member facing experiences design across web and mobile channels.
  • 7+ years leading scrum Software Engineering Teams.
  • Strong analytical approach.
  • Enjoys teamwork but able to keep the team on track.
  • Deep knowledge of scrum tools (Jira).
  • Experience in developing and authoring solution requirements and specifications for moderate to complex software systems.
  • Ability to mentor and coach the teams and individuals across divergent functions, experiences, and geographies.
  • Ability to influence behavior without having organizational hierarchy.
  • Demonstrated experience receiving and providing feedback – creating a culture of psychological safety.
  • Experience in test strategy development and implementation/execution.
  • Experience with release/install planning, communications planning, and partner engagement.
  • Experience running Incident and problem management calls to successful resolution (including post-mortems, follow-up actions, etc).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to organizational changes.
  • Ability to brainstorm with teams on solutions to address challenges and roadblocks.
  • Ability to quickly adapt business processes, goals and objectives and distill them into well-defined User-Stories/requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technology-related subject area.

  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) certification.
