About The Position

Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced, intelligent solutions that help redefine the aerospace and defense industry. This position will have a combination of daily project management responsibilities, operational responsibilities, as well as for the delivery of key projects working within the Collins Aerospace entities around the world. This role reports to the Sr Manager, DT Site Services. The successful candidate will have strong organization, customer service, and communication skills with a background of delivering infrastructure projects of varying technologies in an enterprise environment. A working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Network Printing, End User technologies, and Mobility management platforms is required. The candidate is required to be onsite at the Largo, FL location. The Digital Technology team is driving business efficiencies and a better customer experience by connecting technologies, people, information and processes, including making aircraft more electric, intelligent and integrated to building new software platforms such as Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.

Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
3-5+ years of experience managing IT projects involving the implementation of mobility solutions.
Demonstrates strong technical aptitude, project management, and communication skills.
Experience and background work with large teams to define and execute IT projects.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to effectively lead efforts including the delivery of complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Must be okay with no more than 15% of travel.

Responsibilities

Maintain relationship with site stakeholders.
Vendor management.
Identify and plan End User Services projects to support strategic and operational requirements for Collins Aerospace.
Deploy world class technology and streamlined processes to enhance the Collins Aerospace Digital environment.
Manage several projects at once leveraging contracted teams as needed to implement projects related to infrastructure.
Develop, manage and execute projects to maintain software and hardware currency in the computing environment, such as technology refreshes and upgrades.
Work with RTX (and appropriate vendors) to monitor service levels, projects and performance related to field service support.
Inventory key DT services used at site.
Identify issues, work with appropriate service owners to correct.
Cost optimization opportunities, work with service owners to execute/track.
