The Project Manager - Intern is responsible for learning about the management of customer specific engagements to implement Dayforce HCM solutions. Leveraging Dayforce's implementation methodology, the Project Manager - Intern helps support the Principal Project Manager and Project Manager in the delivery of services according to the agreed upon scope, timeline and budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction. The Project Manager - Intern manages multiple responsibilities on a large complex program and works closely with a Principal Project Manager and Project Manager in a matrix environment. The Project Manager - Intern builds a constructive working relationship with the internal project team and is accountable for project updates and project artifacts.

  • Support the planning and communication of the progress of the project, achieving project milestones and maintaining momentum of the project
  • Utilize a mix of global resources within a matrix environment to ensure maximum productivity
  • Working closely with a Principal Project Manager and Project Manager, utilize Dayforce’s methodology to drive implementations to successful completion, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with the management of sign-off of key milestones and deliverables, such as Project Kick-Off, Project Plan, Status Reports, Steering Committee Updates, Change Requests, User Acceptance Testing, Support transition, Project Closure
  • Adhere to and promote highest quality standards in project delivery and contribute to PMO
  • Assist in driving the UAT process through metrics and reporting
  • Contribute to enhancement of Dayforce implementation methodology and PMO; provide feedback on tools and templates and contribute to best practices
  • Participate in Continuing Education sessions
  • Complete new release training on a timely basis; be familiar with new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release
  • Complete Dayforce training courses to gain domain experience in common HCM business practices and product abilities
  • Prepare Change Requests as required to capture change in scope and/or timeline
  • Final year Undergrad, Post Grad, Diploma, Certificate students with Project Management background (academic/professional) or equivalent experience
  • PMI/PMP certification in progress preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL an asset
  • Customer Service skills or background
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills
