About The Position

The Project Manager – Interior Fit‑Out in a manufacturing environment is responsible for managing all phases of interior construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout. This role focuses on coordinating interior trades, including finishes, plumbing, electrical, tile, millwork, and fixtures, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams, overseeing day‑to-day construction activities in a manufacturing environment and resolving issues related to scheduling, materials, workmanship, and change management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong focus on interior fit‑out
  • Proven experience coordinating finishes, plumbing, electrical, and tile work
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and finish schedules
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Manage interior fit‑out construction projects from kickoff through final completion
  • Review architectural and MEP drawings, specifications, and finish schedules
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans coordinating with manufacturing facility.
  • Develop detailed project schedules covering all interior fit‑out activities
  • Create and manage short‑interval (2–4 week) look-ahead schedules
  • Coordinate sequencing of interior trades to avoid conflicts and delays
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary
  • Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans when delays occur
  • Establish logical trade sequencing for: Framing and drywall Plumbing and electrical rough‑ins Inspections Tile, flooring, and finish installations Final electrical and plumbing trim‑out

  • Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change order
  • Oversee subcontractors including: Electrical Plumbing Tile and stone installers Drywall, framing, and ceilings Flooring and wall finishes Millwork and casework installers
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with contract documents and safety requirements
  • Conduct regular site meetings and coordination walkthroughs
  • Review subcontractor work for quality and adherence to design intent
  • Manage installation of interior finishes including flooring, tile, wall coverings, paint, and ceilings
  • Coordinate rough‑in and finish work for plumbing and electrical systems
  • Verify proper placement of fixtures, outlets, lighting, and specialty systems
  • Ensure finish materials are approved, delivered, stored, and installed correctly
  • Track project budgets and approve subcontractor invoices
  • Manage change orders, pricing, and scope adjustments
  • Identify cost risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure accurate cost forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Enforce quality standards and construction best practices
  • Conduct inspections and punch lists
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, plans, and permitting requirements
  • Promote and enforce jobsite safety policies and procedures
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate inspections and final approvals with authorities and clients
  • Manage final inspections and punch list completion
  • Ensure delivery of closeout documents and warranties
  • Confirm project completion meets contractual and client requirements
