With sales and service locations throughout the world, and over 100 years of battery experience, EnerSys is the power/full solution for stored DC power products.  Job PurposeThe Project Manager III is a senior individual contributor within the Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects. This role drives project success through advanced planning, risk management, and proactive stakeholder engagement while ensuring adherence to PMO standards.The Project Manager III demonstrates consistent leadership and ownership of cost, schedule, and performance outcomes. This position serves as a key mentor and role model within the PMO, reinforcing process discipline, accountability, and professional excellence across project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in project management, engineering, or operations, with proven success managing complex projects.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Planisware or Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Develop detailed integrated master schedules, resource plans, and cost forecasts using Planisware or Microsoft Project.
  • Conduct critical path and risk analysis to anticipate schedule and cost impacts, implementing mitigation or recovery strategies as required.
  • Drive project reviews, gate submissions, and stakeholder presentations with clarity and precision.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to manage interdependencies and resource conflicts.
  • Coach and support junior project managers, modeling professional communication, discipline, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Monitor and report project financial health, including variance analysis, EAC forecasts, and cost-control actions.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO governance, documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with program managers to align project activities with broader portfolio objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted representative of the PMO, maintaining composure and professionalism in high-visibility environments.
