Project Manager III (Woolpert Inc, Chicago, IL): Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in architecture projects. Oversee the quality of deliverables prepared by team members, including, but not limited to, fee plans, work plans, risk mitigation plans, and contracts. Resolve issues impacting architecture project objectives. Lead and support the team in scope and budget/pricing development for proposals and dynamic project planning in architecture projects. Support client relationships and business development in support of strategic business plans. Act as a key point of internal contact for communications. Identify plan versus actual performance variances in architecture projects. Promote the company as an industry leader for mission-critical practice and services with new and existing clients. Work with market leads to negotiate project schedules, fees, scope, and contract terms for architecture projects. Identify, address, and resolve any architecture project issues impacting client goals, objectives, and client satisfaction. Define and communicate client needs and expectations. Ensure continuous stakeholder communications addressing, resolving, and anticipating project issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or a related field of study.
  • Ten (10) years of experience with analyzing technical architectural requirements and managing all phases of architectural projects throughout project lifecycle; applying direct labor costs, market goal multiplier requirements, and consultant expenses to meet client demands on architectural projects; tracking project financials, facilitating technical discussions, and aligning budgets with project costs to meet contract obligations; developing proposals, finalizing contracts, and communicating project architecture and engineering requirements to internal and external teams; and evaluating and synthesizing experience, industry standards, and project information.
