About The Position

We’re seeking a Project Manager with strong communications, budget management, and organizational skills. Your work will support Slipstream’s workforce development initiatives, equipping individuals and organizations with the latest knowledge, skills, and tools needed to accelerate the energy transition through building science, energy efficiency, electrification and renewable energy. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with a passion for workforce development and experience with sustainability-related topics in energy efficiency, renewable energy, home performance, building science or weatherization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated history of effective collaboration with diverse professionals, teams, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical information into accessible, engaging content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and one or more project management software tools (Planner, Asana, Monday.com, or others).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of multiple assigned projects for the Workforce Development team.
  • Develop and maintain project scopes that define deliverables, resource plans, timelines and milestones.
  • Monitor progress of work against project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop and implement progress tracking, analysis and reporting functions.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop strategies for mitigating them, adapting project plans as needed to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Keep management and clients informed about project status, challenges and successes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, external partners, including leading and facilitating meetings and making presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Support the preparation of written materials, including client deliverables, reports, emails and other project communications.
  • Contribute to the development of grant applications, RFP responses and other funding proposals, including development of project scopes, timelines, budgets and deliverables.
  • Support senior staff in strategic direction and planning activities.
  • Create and manage project budgets, monitoring expenses and adjusting as needed to ensure work aligns with approved funding.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and records.
  • Prepare and review contracts and subcontracts, collaborating with management to identify and address contractual issues.
