These location preferences allow us to best serve the needs of Leidos' electric utility customers. Candidates must be located in the United States to be considered. The successful candidate will have an existing background in project management and track record of leading successful projects. Project types will range from fixed fee, T&M, and EPC contracts in the dynamic field of electric utility engineering. This role requires managing project and program performance of engineering deliverables including risk, schedule, and quality. The Project Manager is responsible to ensure day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering in areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Coordination of third-party companies and subcontractors may also be required. Assignments are typically focused on a single Client with multiple projects and business development with in-person Client meetings. Typical tasks include internal and external reporting of financials, project progress, and change management. Support to internal execution teams typically involves tracking and controls of key performance indexes and analysis to staff for project success. The successful Project Manager II candidate will support the following activities with moderate oversight from a Lead Project Manager: Support project teams in completing engineering design for electric infrastructure projects (both public-owned and investor-owned utilities). Manage overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and reporting. Develop and implement recovery plans to maintain compliance with approved budgets and timelines. Ensure full contract compliance and adherence to client requirements. Drive deliverables by coordinating with Engineering Leads, Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams. Maintain and document compliance with established quality control processes. Serve as the primary interface with clients and internal management to resolve issues, track progress, and report costs, schedule adherence, and risks across programs. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, functional leaders, and support personnel. Contribute to bid preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses. Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed deadlines. Collaborate with teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
