Assists in the development and implementation of work packages and Task Orders. May provide direction and input on projects from design development stage through construction. Ensures Designers and Contractors are meeting CEQA/NEPA and/or Entitlement requirements. Assists in facilitating coordination with other LAWA divisions and regulatory agencies (Planning, FAA, TSA, AQMD, SHPO, EPA, etc.) as appropriate. Assist in implementing messaging plan, notices, contingency planning and other tasks as needed. Project and Position Description The TDIP Assistant Project Manager shall report to their assigned projects respective senior project manager and is responsible for managing the scope, schedule and operational interfaces of design and construction-related activities within their assigned Terminal Development and Improvement Program (TDIP) project. TDIP is a major capital program focused on delivering distinct projects focused on modernizing LAXs passenger terminals to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, safety, and connectivity across the airport. The TDIP Assistant Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces of design and construction related activities for the assigned TDIP project. The TDIP Assistant Project Manager will be focused on schedule certainty, budget delivery and making sure that construction work meets the required quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on the project. The TDIP Assistant Project Manager will ensure the development and implementation of design, construction, testing, commissioning, turnover plans, impacts to the operations, ensuring that risk mitigation for construction activities are optimized, working and coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring LAWA standards are adhered to.
