Hill International is seeking a Project Manager II - Healthcare in Houston, Texas Responsibilities Provide professional project management and leadership on multiple large, complex higher education academic, healthcare and research projects. Direct design professionals and administer contracts necessary to meet project goals. Manage the planning, design and execution of projects by providing project leadership, communication, coordination and conflict resolution to ensure project goals are met. Manage project from initiation through completion of construction. Responsible for project budget, schedule, and procurement of design and construction services. Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality; and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift. Facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders. Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements. Facilitate timely review of contract documents by OFPC engineers and consultants at Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document phases of the work. Facilitate timely reviews of accessibility, building and fire code compliance, Storm Water Pollution Protection Plan, Historically Under-Utilized Business plan, and SECO to avoid delays to the project. Review and approve design and construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, Guaranteed Maximum Price submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc. During construction, direct and/or provide support to Resident Construction Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in management of construction activities and processes. Apply project control processes to track progress; for consistency; to mitigate risks; and to assure compliance with Board of Regents Rules & Regulation and applicable State and Federal statues and regulations. Primary project liaison with campus staff, facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input, manage expectations, resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions. Stay current in Codes and Regulations applicable to design and construction, including International Building Codes, NFPA 101, TDLR, OSHA, ADA, ASHRAE 90.1, SWPPP, and any special requirements of the building type (e.g., healthcare, research labs, special campus project types, etc.) or the local jurisdictions. Collaborate with other OFPC colleagues to initiate and develop process improvements.
