About The Position

Provide project management services in support of Environmental Risk & Liability programs across Sheetz and affiliated asset locations at all. Manage operational, regulatory, and financial aspects of projects from inception, design and construction, through completion coordinating with internal stakeholders, third-party service providers, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Environmental Remediation/Corrective Action required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Phase 1/Phase 2 Environmental Due Diligence required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Emergency/Spill/HazMat Response is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Underground Storage Tank System Installation/Removal preferred.
  • Current ASTM Phase 1 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Guide assigned projects using internal resources and/or external contractors to meet company schedules, regulatory requirements, approved scope, and budget parameters.
  • Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for strategic projects ensuring projects are completed on time, adhere to all regulatory requirements, are completed on time, compliant with regulatory requirements, consistent with Sheetz brand, and protective of the environment.
  • Communicate with the appropriate regulatory agencies, internal departments, and third-party service providers, while continuously driving and evaluating project progress, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, and performing quality reviews. Maintains all project and regulatory documentation.
  • Achieve key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources as needed based on project, construction or field conditions while monitoring the project schedule and financial impacts.
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders, third party contractors, and regulatory agencies regarding scope, budget, risk and resource impacts. Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and manage stakeholder and senior leadership expectations.
  • Oversee multiple, complex, environmental projects with significant regulatory risk and financial exposure to the organization as a whole.
  • Manage projects within property acquisition, site development, site decommissioning, potable drinking water, stormwater management, oil water separator, non-municipal sanitary sewer, and remedial programs.
  • Participate in the 24/7 Emergency On-Call rotation to provide Spill Response oversight and other Emergency Situation Management services for Sheetz and its affiliated entities.
