About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Manager to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills. In delivering more than 50 advanced technology projects, Mortenson is well-versed in the design and construction of semiconductor fabs, cleanroom environments, and advanced manufacturing facilities. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• Minimum six years of related previous experience
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
• Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Current driver's license
• Ability to travel 100%

Nice To Haves

• Utility scale solar project experience preferred
• Self-perform experience preferred
• Proven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects
• Preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
• Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices
• Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partners
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders
• Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback
