About The Position

The University of Florida is looking for a Project Manager I to support strategic initiatives across the Division of Enrollment Management. In this role, you will coordinate project intake, planning, execution, reporting, and process improvement efforts that advance UF’s enrollment goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience supporting cross-functional projects in higher education, private sector, or similarly complex environments.
  • Demonstrated record of supporting project reporting and tracking activities, including maintaining schedules, milestones, risk and issue registers, and status documentation while supporting workflow automation to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Experience documenting, analyzing, and redesigning business processes to boost operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Experience supporting project intake, prioritization, and requirements-gathering processes in alignment with leadership direction.
  • Skill in creating clear project documentation, templates, communications, job aids, and training materials that drive consistent adoption of project management best practices.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to communicate project status, issues, and next steps; and to drive progress toward project milestones and deliverables.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • CAPM (certification or equivalent project management certification, such as PMP or Scrum Master is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clarify, and document project requests and requirements.
  • Support evaluation, prioritization, and tracking of project proposals.
  • Ensure intake workflows are consistent, transparent, and aligned with EM leadership priorities.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, risk logs, and milestone trackers.
  • Oversee smaller projects or project phases under supervision.
  • Maintain project timelines, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Prepare and present status reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements for visibility and decision‑making.
  • Conduct post‑project assessments and refine project management tools and practices.
  • Document current and future workflows to identify inefficiencies.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and user experience.
  • Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Create project documentation, communications, templates, and training materials.
  • Support onboarding and training for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote adoption of project management and change management standards.
  • Participate in committees, working groups, and division initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development and research emerging trends in enrollment management.
  • Represent UF at meetings, forums, and professional association events.
  • Support additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
