About The Position

Project Manager I (PM1) is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of building envelope consulting projects, including assessment, design, inspection, and repair services. This is an entry-level project management role designed for individuals with foundational industry experience who are ready to take the next step in their career. As a PM1, you’ll work closely with Senior Project Managers and PM3s to manage small to mid-sized projects while building your technical, financial, and client-facing skills. You’ll assist in coordinating site visits, preparing technical documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and keeping projects moving forward. This role is ideal for someone who understands construction fundamentals and is ready to grow into a fully independent Project Manager.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or building envelope consulting
  • Foundational knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, cladding, or related systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • EIT or industry certifications are a plus
  • Traveling locally to job sites
  • Performing inspections in various weather conditions
  • Navigating roofs, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated areas
  • Entering crawlspaces or confined spaces when needed
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for report preparation
  • Using office equipment and project management software

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • EIT or industry certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate inspections, site visits, and client meetings
  • Maintain organized project documentation including contracts, reports, and permits
  • Support senior PMs in managing timelines and deliverables
  • Oversee day-to-day project activities on assigned work
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and document findings
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards
  • Assist in procurement of materials and services as needed
  • Act as a point of contact for clients on assigned projects
  • Provide clear and timely project updates
  • Support meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Perform site observations and assist with quality checks
  • Prepare draft technical reports for review
  • Compile documentation related to inspections, findings, and recommendations
  • Track project expenses and assist with budget monitoring
  • Support invoice review and financial coordination
  • Identify potential risks or delays and escalate appropriately
