About The Position

The Project Manager will provide overall project leadership, governance, schedule management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery oversight for the Green Mountain Care Board’s Rural Health Transformation initiative. This role will ensure project activities are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with State governance, reporting, and operational expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or related field
  • PMP certification preferred / strongly desired
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading enterprise or public-sector IT initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience with: O MS Project / Planner Premium O Azure DevOps O Agile and hybrid delivery environments O executive reporting and governance processes
  • Experience managing cross functional teams, schedules, risks, and project reporting
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting healthcare, public sector, Medicaid, CMS, or health data modernization programs
  • Familiarity with: oPower BI oSharePoint oPower Automate ocloud-based delivery environments
  • Experience in data modernization, governance, or enterprise transformation programs

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using MS Project / Planner Premium
  • Coordinate project plans, milestones, dependencies, resource allocations, and delivery timelines across multiple teams
  • Lead project governance, status reporting, executive communication, and steering updates
  • Maintain and manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions)
  • Track schedule variance, critical path, milestone health, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, technical, governance, analytics, and vendor stakeholders
  • Support project intake, planning, prioritization, and alignment with strategic goals
  • Manage change control documentation and schedule/budget impacts
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and executive-level project reporting
  • Ensure project documentation, deliverables, and approvals are complete and audit- ready
  • Facilitate communication across State leadership, program teams, and supporting Vendors
  • Monitor progress against project objectives and recommend mitigation strategies where needed
