About The Position

Harden Secure is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to manage projects end-to-end, from pre-construction through closeout. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in perimeter security and civil/site construction who is comfortable operating in both estimating and project execution functions. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage multiple customers, and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or estimating within construction
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects end-to-end
  • Strong understanding of civil/site construction means and methods
  • Experience with perimeter security work is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong financial and cost control skills
  • Proficient in estimating and project management software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Perimeter security systems, including fencing, gates, barriers, bollards, and access control systems
  • Civil and site construction, including concrete foundations, flatwork, trenching, and underground utilities
  • Coordination with electrical contractors for access control, power, and low-voltage systems
  • Projects for large general contractors
  • Government, federal, or municipal work
  • Critical infrastructure or secure facilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews from plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing
  • Identify risks, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities
  • Support proposal development and assist with bid strategy
  • Manage projects from award through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
  • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Oversee procurement of materials and subcontracted work
  • Monitor job costs, forecast final costs, and manage change orders
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders
  • Manage project close-out documentation, including as-builts, warranties, and final billing
