About The Position

Plans, executes and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. With senior management defines the project's objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Math or Engineering.
Minimum 4 years experience Of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects from planning through execution.
Experience leading cross-functional teams is required.
Must have experience in defining, planning, and executing projects of various durations and budgets.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare background
Experience with IT related projects is a plus.
Familiarity with Smartsheet Project Management Software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Directs and manages project development from beginning to end.
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management
Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner
Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommends subsequent budget changes when necessary
With senior management, determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or consultants and assists in making the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management
Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Conducts project post mortems and creates recommendation reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Directs and manages project timeline in an efficient and effective manner.
Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Tracks project milestones and deliverables
Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation and presentations
Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises and devises contingency plans
Works collaboratively with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis in an efficient, customer responsive and value added manner, in compliance with MEDCARE standards and promotes customer satisfaction to manage and direct projects
Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Builds, develops and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Recommends and works with senior management to negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the organization, when necessary
Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
Maintains confidentiality of patient, department and/or hospital information.
Adheres to established department and organization policies (i.e., HIPAA, Confidentiality and Compliance Policies) for any purpose
Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
Responds to problems/opportunities to improve work environment and participates in unit based performance improvement activities which includes committees, monitoring and follow-up.
Demonstrates flexibility to work as needed to provide continuous IT systems, applications and services.
