Apply today and join the company that is Leading with Science. We are currently seeking a Project Manager-Environmental Specialist to work in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. We are in search of a highly-motivated team member to join our family of engineers and scientists who has a strong interest and skillset to support wide variety of challenging and complex water resources projects in the southwest and throughout the nation. There are also opportunities for future advancement in this position.

Requirements

  • BS in Biology/Natural Resources and at least 10-15 years of professional experience in environmental planning and science including project management, watershed analysis, ecosystem restoration, compliance, permit development, and monitoring OR MS in Biology/Natural Resources and at least 5-8 years of professional experience in environmental planning and science including project management, watershed analysis, ecosystem restoration, compliance, permit development, and monitoring.
  • Experience preparing reports, NEPA, CWA and ESA documentation
  • Experience in preparing watershed based plans, especially in the arid Southwest
  • Knowledge of local plant, fish and/or wildlife species and their habitat requirements
  • Experience developing habitat assessment, restoration, mitigation and/or monitoring plans
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with GIS
  • Experience with field data collection equipment including GPS.

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects including leading technical components, tracking budgets and client coordination
  • Preparing and coordinating NEPA documentation
  • Preparation of Watershed Plans
  • Preparing Biological Assessments for ESA compliance
  • Preparing and overseeing development of environmental permits, including CWA Sections 404/401
  • Stream and River restoration planning
  • Planning, leading and conducting field surveys for vegetation, wildlife, and wildlife habitat
  • Performing wetland delineations
  • GIS based mapping and analysis
  • Environmental oversight during construction
  • Assist in business development for biological/environmental work.
