Techno is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee engineering design review activities on a large-scale, high-visibility transportation infrastructure initiative. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process

Requirements

  • Approximately 10 years of progressive experience in engineering, construction, or design management, with a strong focus on design review
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, preferably Civil Engineering
  • Construction background acceptable with demonstrated strength in engineering design principles
  • Strong technical judgment, communication skills, and ability to lead collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Nice To Haves

  • Structural engineering experience preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Experience working in Design-Build delivery environments preferred
  • Prior experience supporting projects for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, including aviation or transit infrastructure such as the Newark AirTrain, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering design review process for complex infrastructure systems
  • Serve as the primary coordination point between design teams, engineers, and key stakeholders
  • Review engineering and structural design submittals for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Facilitate technical meetings, design workshops, and interdisciplinary review sessions
  • Identify design risks, constructability challenges, and potential schedule impacts, and drive resolution strategies
  • Provide clear, actionable technical feedback to design teams to support informed decision-making
  • Track design review schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
  • Support alignment between design intent, construction feasibility, and overall project objectives
