About The Position

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Project Manager – Data Center/BESS to support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects. This role works closely with Directors, Superintendents, and field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Candidates with experience in Data Center/BESS construction or utility construction are strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical project management, with a focus on medium voltage systems, renewables and mission critical projects
  • Knowledge of civil dry utilities and excavation.
  • Proven experience managing the installation of electrical duct banks, including conduit placement, concrete encasement, and routing per project specifications.
  • Skilled and holds knowledge in trench excavation, layout, shoring, sloping, and soil classification in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, and structural drawings.
  • Knowledge of underground utility locating, depth requirements, and separation standards.
  • Experienced in coordinating with civil, utility, and electrical teams to maintain schedule and site safety.
  • Familiar with compaction requirements, backfilling, and installation of warning tape and tracer wire.
  • Strong knowledge of MV regulations and technical standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical design tools.
  • Ability to manage complex technical projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Analyze technical specifications and customer requirements to ensure alignment.
  • Coordinate engineering design, procurement, and installation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, IEC, and local electrical codes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular progress updates and technical reports.
  • Prepare Project Budget and Start Up documents
  • Monitor project KPIs, including cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Manage risk mitigation strategies and resolve technical issues promptly.
