About The Position

The Project Manager – Commercial Kitchens oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial kitchen projects from initial design through final installation and closeout. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations, building codes, and industry standards. All employees are expected to adhere to Ace Mart business philosophy, guidelines and policies as laid out in the Ace Mart mission statement, Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Safety Program.

Requirements

  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • Familiarity with health department regulations.
  • 3–5+ years of project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and commercial kitchen workflow.
  • Experience with contractors, architects, and foodservice consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple commercial kitchen projects simultaneously from proposal to turnover.
  • Review architectural drawings, kitchen layouts, and equipment schedules.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Manage lead times, deliveries, and equipment logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate onsite work including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) rough-ins, vent hoods, refrigeration, and installation.
  • Conduct site visits, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to plans.
  • Manage scope changes, delays, and conflicts.
  • Serve as the primary client contact.
  • Provide regular project updates and documentation.
  • Facilitate project meetings.
  • Ensure work complies with health codes, building codes, ADA, and safety standards.
  • Oversee startup, testing, and commissioning.
  • Conduct closeout and final walkthroughs.
  • Maintain records including change orders, Request for Information (RFI), and submittals.
  • Track project financials.
  • Prepare closeout packages and turnover documentation.
