Project Manager, Bracing & Supports Strategy
About The Position
The Bracing & Supports Strategy Project Manager will play a crucial role in a team that defines, plans, and executes the global B&S strategy. This position will work in collaboration with the B&S Strategy Business Area leadership team to drive the execution of these strategic projects, ensuring consistency with company commitments, values and goals. Managing multiple projects and project teams with cross functional stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Global Product Management, and Sourcing to maintain forward momentum of strategic activities. This project manager will also work with our Engineering team to deliver products to the market that meet our strategic needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; MBA preferred
- Minimum 8 years in project management demonstrating continuous increase in responsibilities
- Project management certification (PMI/IPMA) or comparable desirable
- Strong understanding of medical device development processes, including design controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead multiple, simultaneous projects successfully in a customer centric sales and marketing organization
- Strong leadership skills, ability to professionally communicate and influence a wide range of audiences across multiple levels of the organization
- Comfort with travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally
- Ability to pivot and remain flexible in a changing work environment with an appetite for continuous growth
- Ability to encourage participation and decision-making by all team members and effectively manage group dynamics
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software like Microsoft Project/Jira/etc
Responsibilities
- Create and define project scope, goals, deliverables, resource plans, budgets, timelines, and work plans
- Coordinate and prioritize resources across projects, managing links between the projects, costs, and risks
- Lead the planning and implementation of assigned projects with detailed project plans to achieve success
- Apply project management skills to lead and manage day-to-day operations of multiple projects simultaneously
- Work closely with the various departments and organizations to ensure efficient and timely project deliverables
- Resolve and recommend solutions to any roadblocks that jeopardize success by identifying and escalating issues
- Prepare and present reports, defining project process, problems, and solutions
- All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific. All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process (PR-00042).
