About The Position

The Project Manager for Asset Management & Engineering will own multiple advisory services projects delivered to Oil & Gas accounts on behalf of the Infrastructure Advisory Asset Management solution portfolio. As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Provide technical support for client projects with asset management planning, asset investment planning and optimization strategies, asset engineering services, and tailoring engineering support services Support client projects with feasibility studies, cost and financial estimations, engineering testing and asset commissioning scopes Support lead generation and follow-on scope generation for Black & Veatch advisory services with new and existing customers Provide proposal support for client projects with technical specification preparation, proposal writing and development, and bid evaluation This role has 25% to 50% travel requirements for travel to project and client locations. When not traveling, this role will be hybrid with 3 days per week in-office colocation from the Houston, Texas, office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years relevant experience in Oil & Gas including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations
  • Experience in multiple phases of project execution in a leadership or project management role
  • 5+ years of operator experience in the oil & gas sector preferably in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of asset management practices and methodologies, including strategic asset management plan development, asset master data management, and capital project planning
  • Experience in asset engineering for modifications and retrofitting for brownfield assets
  • Experience in AVEVA, IBM Maximo, GE Meridium, SAP APM and/or other relevant third-party solutions relevant to client operating contexts
  • Experience in pre-sales, marketing and business development for new solution offerings.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.), P.Eng or equivalent professional license.

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote Black & Veatch's safety culture
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and prepare proposals for advisory services
  • Lead project teams for asset management, engineering, and operations and maintenance advisory services
  • Interface between the client, external stakeholders, and Black & Veatch teams to ensure effective project design and execution
  • Partner with client teams and leaders in corporate and operations contexts
  • Lead client service project delivery, including management of project staffing, budget, schedule, and quality of project deliverables or work products
  • Manage client requirements and specifications related to one or more scopes of work
  • Manage day-to-day project delivery and execution
  • Develop client relationships as the primary client liaison for Black & Veatch projects
