About The Position

As a Project Management Intern at Centrus Energy, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting projects that drive advanced uranium enrichment, engineering initiatives, and operational improvements. You’ll work alongside experienced project managers and cross-functional teams, learning how planning, coordination, and communication keep complex, mission-critical projects moving forward. This internship offers real exposure to the full project lifecycle—helping you build practical skills that launch a future career in project management, business operations, or technical program leadership. What You’ll Do: Step into the world of project delivery and help teams stay organized, on track, and aligned. As a Project Management Intern, you’ll assist with project planning activities, maintain schedules and action logs, track milestones and deliverables, and help prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders. You’ll support team meetings by documenting notes and follow-ups, contribute to risk tracking and issue resolution efforts, and collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and other departments to understand how cross-functional teams execute complex work. By the end of your internship, you’ll present your key contributions, lessons learned, and project insights to the team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate program in business, project management, engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Interest in project coordination, process improvement, or operational excellence
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Classroom, internship, or group project experience involving planning, coordination, or team collaboration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project or basic project tracking tools
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework in a business, technical, or related program
