About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. The candidate in this position will assume the role of a Program Phase Lead and get exposure to and gain valuable learning about Program, Operations, and Value Stream functions. The candidate will also be an integral part of the communication and reporting as related to the enterprise through direct interface with members of the Program, Operations, and Value Stream leadership teams. The Program Phase Lead is responsible for the information collection, organization, and assembly of the packages directly used in the phase preparation and reporting meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Critical thinking and attention to detail will be expected
  • Waterfront or Program experience is desirable but not a prerequisite
  • The candidate should be a motivated self-starter
  • A desire to learn, develop, and mature professional skillsets and business acumen
