About The Position

SUMMARY: The candidate will be responsible for working on a wide range of projects and repairs on production and facility-related equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Hours are 3:30pm - 2am Monday through Thursday. Overtime is based on production demands, and if needed, it would be scheduled for Friday and possibly Saturday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND completion of a two-year vocational maintenance training program OR apprenticeship program emphasizing industrial maintenance is required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in an industrial environment working with 3 phase high voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits including properly sizing conduit & wire, conduit bending & installation.
  • Ability to read & interpret CAD prints, related to fabrication & electrical circuits.
  • Must have a working knowledge of National Electric Code.
  • Knowledgeable in basic metal fabrication.
  • Experience in operating forklifts and man lifts (i.e. scissor lifts, articulating booms, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, etc…
  • Must be self-motivated and proven strong leadership skills.
  • Must have excellent decision-making and team motivational skills.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, adversity, and changes.
  • Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule that supports production and process improvements
  • Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week. Sometimes, it may be necessary to work additional hours to accomplish the required tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and well-organized.
  • Maintain high personal standards of quality.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with management and direct reports. Should have the ability to recognize communication gaps and appropriately address them.
  • Excellent problem-solving and team motivational skills are a must.
  • Must be flexible, adapt to changes in the work environment, and manage competing demands. Flexible hours may be required when necessary to reach company goals.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with a large variety of individuals, including production personnel, maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management, and outside contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices by following company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean work area and promote company 5S policies.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as well as PM’s on equipment and facilities
  • Identify root causes of maintenance downtime and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
  • Order repair parts for maintenance repairs to equipment and facilities.
