About The Position

The Project Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, monitoring, coordinating, and controlling project activities within a program. This role involves fulfilling contractual requirements, maintaining customer service, and exercising technical and administrative control of projects in accordance with contract requirements, schedule, commercial targets, and regulatory body or class society requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, technical degree, or equivalent project management experience
  • Three+ years project management experience
  • Must demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of customer relations skills
  • Must possess demonstrated project management skills including scheduling, organizing, communication, problem-solving, cost & risk management, negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Flexibility - must adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments
  • Must be competent in the use of MS Office Suite including Microsoft Projects
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to interact with customers
  • Requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN). Therefore, proof of U.S. Citizenship and attestation of not having dual citizenship is required. Acceptable proof of U.S. Citizenship is a U.S. Passport, U.S. Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Oracle or ERP software preferred
  • Military experience, especially in the U.S. Navy, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for successful execution and delivery of assigned project tasks within a program
  • Demonstrates project coordination skills including an understanding of physical progress, project organization, cost control, and regulatory agency rules
  • Ensures compliance with customer contract specifications, requirements, and terms and conditions
  • Collects and reports on data required to monitor project progress
  • Supports the Program Manager with contract compliance, project progress, financial / cost management, and subcontractor management
  • Create and maintain project schedules
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly status reports
  • Negotiate with all functional disciplines for accomplishment of necessary work within schedule, cost and scope requirements
