About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Project Leader, the Project Leader I is responsible for managing project feasibility, flow, and deadlines for new and enhanced product development initiatives. This role plays a key part in coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer requirements. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Success in this role will require Interpret and understand detailed tooling and product drawings. Knowledge of sales/marketing, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Experience in motivating and leading cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Mitigate and escalate risks appropriately. Customer-focused with a collaborative, win-win mindset. Proficient with project management software and planning techniques. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. Demonstrated Technical Skills: New-product development using injection-molding processes and manufacturing best practices. Management of small to medium scale projects with significant budgets and cross-functional impact. Leadership Skills: Developed team-building capabilities. Effective decision-making skills (strategic thinking, problem solving, decisiveness).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Engineering required.
  • 3-5 years project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience interacting with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, injection molding and prototyping processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product development projects.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • Document scope and assess work complexity.
  • Conduct risk assessments and generate reports.
  • Lead project planning, define deliverables, and estimate timing.
  • Lead cross-functional team performance.
  • Provide plant support for pilot and production activities.
  • Execute tactical plans under guidance of Senior Project Leadership.
