About The Position

Project Leader – Executive Suite NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) is one of the nation’s most comprehensive, integrated academic health systems, uniquely affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Project Lead to support enterprise-wide initiatives sponsored by the Executive Suite. This role sits within the Executive Office and plays a critical part in advancing NYP’s strategic priorities, operational excellence, and patient-centered mission. The ideal candidate brings exceptional critical thinking, discretion, and professionalism, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation, deadline-driven healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum three to five years of previous work-related experience
  • Strong project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a hospital, academic medical center, or large healthcare system, ideally supporting senior leadership or enterprise initiatives
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and executive-level communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of operating independently in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Proven success leading and managing projects in fast-paced, matrixed, and complex organizational settings
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MHA, MBA, MPH)
  • Project Management License

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives, including strategic, operational, and organizational priorities
  • Manage end-to-end project execution, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, meeting cadence, and cross-departmental coordination across NYP’s hospitals, clinical service lines, and corporate functions
  • Develop executive-level materials such as briefings, presentations, summaries, and talking points for senior leadership, Board-related work, and system-wide forums
  • Provide tactical and strategic support across a broad portfolio of initiatives, including performance improvement, clinical and operational integration, and transformation efforts
  • Monitor progress and risks, ensuring projects remain aligned with executive priorities, NYP values, and organizational goals
  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the enterprise to drive communication, alignment, and effective execution within a complex academic medical center environment
  • Exercise sound judgment and confidentiality in handling sensitive information at the highest levels of the organization
