About The Position

Ravenswood Solutions is looking for a proactive Project Leader to continue our tradition of delivering industry-leading innovations to the field and marketplace in a rapid, responsive manner. Qualified candidates possess strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills, background in relevant technical fields, passion for leadership/mentorship of engineers, and a commitment to meeting both client and corporate specification, budget, and schedule requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Prefer candidates with a mix of small and large business experience. The Project Leader reports directly to the Director of Product Development, working with the Product and Services team to develop and deliver powerful products and execute critical technology insertion, sustainment, and operational initiatives across multiple corporate and client programs. As an important member of a rapidly growing company, the Project Leader will also contribute to business development and marketing initiatives in accordance with Ravenswood Solutions strategic business objectives, as well as client projects that may emerge from those activities. Position Responsibilities: The Project Leader is responsible for playing a significant role in the planning and execution of programs. This position requires technical and managerial experience so that they can intelligently lead a team of engineers and work with a Program Manager to ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget. They will also need to work closely with business development, sales, and marketing professionals as well as customers and industry partners on a regular basis. The ideal candidate balances the need to creatively promote Ravenswood offerings and drive business growth with the need to manage each project effectively, hitting cost, schedule, and performance targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Project Management (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in project management or team leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (ideally Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Experience with both proposal costing and project budget execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on and oversee several different projects at once
  • Ability to lead people of varying technical abilities with a wide geographic distribution
  • Excellent testing and debugging skills
  • Strong team-oriented attitude; flexible, positive, adapts well to changing requirements
  • Ability to work closely in small teams to create well integrated products in short design cycles
  • Commitment to generating good documentation and reproducible methodologies
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% time within the US and abroad
  • Ability to transfer/obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans with resource allocation, risk management, and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet changing requirements.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented, high-performance team environment.
  • Build and develop strong working relationships internal and external to Ravenswood.
  • Support Business Development activities including capture management, proposal writing, solution development, marketing, pricing, cashflow modeling, and supply chain development.
  • Help to create, maintain, and evolve Ravenswood’s product roadmap.
  • Travel to partner and customer sites for onsite support and collaboration.
