About The Position

This position is 100% onsite in Gastonia, NC

Main Tasks- Managing multiple, interrelated projects (including new launches, consolidation and outsourcing projects)- Organizing project teams and assigning individual responsibilities- Developing project schedules- Determining resource requirements- Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing- Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards- Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget- Integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables- Coordinating and steering launches of new production lines or SKUs within the manufacturing plant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any related field and 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing environment OR at least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment without degree
• Managing projects within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, coordinating launches for new production equipment
• Must be able to manage a project team in a fast paced and pressured environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Strong Lean mindset
• Up to 10% domestic travel.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive program launch experience
• Expert knowledge of APQP and PPAP
• Capability with standard engineering tools and processes such as Design Verification Process & Reporting (DVP&R), FMEA, and Statistics
