Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Inspector to assist with our projects in Columbus!

Requirements

• 1 – 7 years of experience in Transportation Construction, Inspection, and Engineering (Preferred but not expected with the entry level)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools, capable in math and writing skills.
• Computer skills including use of e-mail, Excel AND Word
• Valid Driver License

Nice To Haves

• ODOT Prequalification in ODOT Inspector/Engineer Categories (Preferred)
• NICET Highway Technician I, II; III or IV (Preferred)
• ACI Field Technician Level 1 (Preferred)
• Ohio Aggregate Level 1 (Preferred)
• OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Interact with project partners such as clients, contractors and stakeholders
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications
• The inspector will report to the project engineers and report on contractor activities
• Follow applicable QA/QC procedures
• Measure, calculate, and determine all quantities of assigned work and/or installed materials
• Report any deficiencies in the contractor's work to the Project Engineer or Project Manager
• Prepare Daily Inspector’s Reports using various software such as Word, AASHTOWare Project (AWP) and Appia
