About The Position

Ninyo and Moore has an immediate opening in Salt Lake City, Utah for a Project Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related)
• Licensed professional engineer
• 4+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
• Team player
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

Nice To Haves

• M.S. preferred
• Local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice
• Experience with construction and grading activities
