About The Position

Brown & Root is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project General Manager to lead and manage complex construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a solid understanding of subcontracting strategies, contract administration, and cost control. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution-including planning, coordination, budgeting, and client communication-with full accountability for project performance and profitability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field (required)
  • 12-15 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience managing full project life cycles, including financial oversight (P&L responsibility)In-depth knowledge of project management best practices, construction contracts, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Proficiency in Gordian and RS Means estimating software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of project management, including project setup, scheduling, and execution.
  • Develop and implement subcontracting strategies tailored to each project.
  • Review and process shop drawings and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage contract changes, RFIs, and change orders efficiently.
  • Maintain daily communication with owners, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Prepare and deliver all required reports for both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure profitability and minimize financial risk.
  • Utilize Gordian and RS Means software to interpret and manage line-item estimates.
  • Lead project teams with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
