Responsible for management of construction projects from beginning to end in accordance and maintaining the requirements of the "Super Six". Train and develop Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers and Interns and provide support to the on site Senior Project Manager. Develop and create a comprehensive procurement/ buyout strategy including the completion of the "Buyout Log" to comply with the requirements of the Owner Contract and the internal "90 Day" buyout completion target. This "Buyout Log" should be completed in draft form prior to contract execution with the involvement of the Preconstruction Team. Review and understand complete project scope of work based on contract requirements including: drawings, specifications, estimates, schedules and applicable building codes in order to plan, negotiate and coordinate all aspects of the construction process including hiring subcontractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors. Identify long lead time materials and plan accordingly through Management Tracking Log and Gantt Chart Critical Path Schedule. Meet and update regularly (weekly at a minimum) with team to document gains and losses to baseline schedule. Develop a comprehensive project business plan with the project team to maximize fee, minimize waste, strategize on buyout of trades, establish contingency, determine schedule improvements and fee enhancement opportunities. Confer with supervisors or other managers to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.
