We are looking for a Project Finance Intern. This position will be based in Sacramento, CA, Alpharetta, GA or Lexington, NC During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Project Finance and be responsible for the completion of all commercial and financial topics throughout the sales/bid process of a Project.

Requirements

  • Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
  • Strong technical or analytical aptitude.
  • Availability for 40 hours per week from June to August.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the respective Project Managers in all project areas to execute assigned projects according to defined Project Management standards, customer requirements, and applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines.
  • Ensure the accuracy of cost and pricing calculation as well as overall project records.
  • Facilitate all commercial aspects of assigned bid activities: contract analysis, cost calculation, business models, financing concepts, currency, hedging, risks, and opportunities.
  • Set up financial performance plans for projects based on planned delivery schedules during the sales phase and manage it throughout the project execution phase.
  • Monitor revenue recognition: actual vs plan, degree of completion, cost to complete, and total forecasted costs vs planned.
  • Ensure full compliance of revenue and cost recognition with company accounting policies under US-GAAP / IFRS.
  • Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, reconciliation of project cash flow, and constant deviation analysis.
