About The Position

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation. We specialize in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. MGC Contractors, Inc is looking for Project Engineers to join our Utah Division in the Provo area.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related Program required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
Effective Communication Skills both oral and written, and quick response time to inquiries.
Passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior construction field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

General Contract and Subcontract administration
Construction scheduling
Procurement and expediting of material and equipment
Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination
Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting
Review of subcontractor applications for payment
Participation in project meetings
Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations
Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work
Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment
Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors.
Any and all other duties assigned.
